This Epilepsy journey has been mentally and physically taxing. I can’t cure Epilepsy but I was privileged to have doctors who could figure out why I was going into Status Epilepticus so often. This has been a rollercoaster and we found out a lot about of other health conditions while in Utah that we need to have a better handle on. However, this is a great start in the right direction. My PICC line was taken out during this trip and now I have a central tunneled catheter. It’s kind of like a port except that I can’t de-access it which is what is best for me currently. I take 6 medications through it + NS, LR, and TPN daily. This is my 2nd and 3rd blood patch. My first one unfortunately failed. This time I had a wonderful doctor & team performing the procedure who did it right with HIGH volume! The recovery is feeling boring because I feel okay to do things but I have to lay flat on my back and the blood needs to clot around the leaks. I really want this to work. I want my life ba...
