7 things changed my life in 2016. I’m posting this because the “2016” photo trend made me pause. I forgot how much that year reshaped me. 2016 was the year I was a qualified doctor in the NHS. That moment meant everything. It was also the year I founded Arian Teleheal. I kept thinking, care shouldn’t depend on where you were born or what resources your hospital has. Telemedicine became a bridge and it honestly changed my whole view of what’s possible. Learning the lessons from our community work, we've recently launched Arian Wellbeing, which is a digital mental health service that combines technology/ AI and human expertise to provide culturally sensitive and trauma informed mental health services to people from all backgrounds. I said yes to speaking publicly, including my first TEDxNHS, even though I had social anxiety and a real fear of being seen. And I was able to see my parents more regularly again after decades shaped by displacement. 2016 didn’t make life perfect. But ...
