Resilience gets talked about a lot, individually or at work, usually as something you’re supposed to build on your own.
But when I think about resilience, I think about how people treat each other during hard days. Especially in high-pressure environments like healthcare.
It’s the small things that seem to matter most. Someone asking how you’re doing and actually listening. A colleague offering a drink or a moment to pause. Feeling noticed instead of invisible while everything feels intense.
Those moments don’t remove the pressure, but they change how it feels to carry it. Over time, that kind of support makes a real difference.
