My voice used to feel like the least valuable thing I had. Through years of traumatic circumstances as a child and young adult, I kept my head down and stayed quiet, unsure if what I had to say would matter. We would even get punished for speaking up. Over time, I learned that my story and voice mattered, that silence can keep the status quo in place. Now, I speak on global stages not only to share my story, but to amplify the stories of those who are not in the room, especially of those experiencing trauma, displacement and lack of access to quality health services. Your voice can be a tool for change. It just has to be used. It requires courage and vulnerability. But it may well save and change lives. #globalhealth #refugeevoices #publicspeaking #healingispossible #mentalhealthmatters #arianwellbeing #traumainformedcare #purposeled
