I didn’t know the word “trauma” when I was living through it. I only knew I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t breathe, and felt alone even in a room full of people. Where I came from, there was no therapy or help. No way to describe what I was carrying. There are countless other people who also experience trauma in their own ways and don't get the help they need. Everyone deserves the help to name and process what they have been through. Healing begins with understanding and compassion.
