My patient was suffering from terminal cancer but still smiled with her husband. She went out for a meal and got sick. But she was still grateful for spending that meal with her husband. She was hanging onto sweet memories and the best of life in face of the harshest adversity. This was such a big and inspiring life lesson for me to be grateful for every moment that I am alive and to cherish my loved ones.
