Don’t be scared of scissors 😱✂️ When supporting your child, here are some handy hints: ⭐️Practise picking up things with tongs to get used to the open-and-shut action. ⭐️Be like Goldilocks and find a pair of scissors your child feels comfortable holding. ⭐️Start with short sturdy objects like a toilet roll or a thin piece of card. ⭐️Model safe and correct scissors skills to your child by cutting together and sharing your inner dialogue. Talk out loud and talk about what your hands, arms and fingers are doing.
