The body is the first territory where power, rules, and restrictions are written: gender roles, beauty standards, religious taboos, colonial histories, even the idea of what is “normal” or “acceptable.”
When I say the body is political, I mean that everything we experience collectively, repression, freedom, violence, emancipation, passes through the body. And because we all live in a body, it is the common ground we share, the place where the personal becomes political.
Tamsa Ayba Territory is a mixed media work, drawing, ceramics, and collaboration with AI.
It was shown for the first time last week in Istanbul, invited and curated by denis.leo.hegic.projects ❤️ during the art fair noise_media_art
