“What is the one opportunity that forever changed the trajectory of your life?” 🚀 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I got this question at a management consulting job interview in New York in 2012. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I pondered the question for about 10 seconds, and answered, "Receiving a full-ride to study abroad in the US." ⁣⁣ From 15 to 19 years old, I completed high-school in Singapore 🇸🇬 on a government scholarship. Receiving a full scholarship to study at amherstcollege in the US 🇺🇸 and oxford_uni in the UK 🇬🇧 (and studying abroad at sciencespo in Paris 🇫🇷) at the age of 19 completely changed the trajectory of my life. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ These opportunities opened up my world.
