I am First Officer Adhiraj Singh. My love for flying started when I was 5. Being from the Army background, I grew up in an environment full of adventures, packed boxes and traveling. I love the freedom which comes along with it. The love for uniform came from seeing my father donning his Olive Green uniform daily while the love for flying came from being awestruck seeing fighter planes fly from my room window. That's when I realised that this is what I want to do when I grow up. After finishing my schooling from 9 cities, I had become accustomed to traveling and the nomad lifestyle. I pursued science with the hope of becoming a fighter Pilot one day- until the day I got reading glasses. Had to drop the plan of joining Air Force. The other option to touch the sky was after becoming an Airline Pilot. Cleared entrance exam and medicals of a reputed training academy, unfortunately the same time recession hit the aviation industry. Kingfisher airlines shut down and there were no jobs. Yet ...
