Life. Changing. ⤵ļø
This is a throwback video of V from last year, but I can't help but smile every time I watch it.
This girl loves her school. She loves her teachers. She loves her peers (for the most part š she's still a teenager).
And I just can't help but think how different her education (heck, her whole life!) would be if we hadn't found and advocated for this school placement over 5 years ago.
For those of you who are new here, Violet attends a Non Public School for autistic students.
And I will shout it from the rooftops until I'm blue in the face: Inclusion is not right for every kid. Public School is not right for every kid. And it's OKAY if a separate school setting is what your child needs to thrive.
So don't be afraid to advocate for what you know is best for your child. They deserve that. š«¶
Have you found an educational placement that's working for your kid?? š
