I wish the last one was an exaggeration... 🫠 You don't know what you don't know, BUT (and I truly mean this as kindly as possible).... ✨If you haven't raised an autistic child or a child with a disability, then I don't want your parenting advice✨ Unless you’ve fought back tears in an IEP meeting, jumped through insurance hoops only to be denied again, advocated for a service your child was legally entitled to, or watched your child excluded just because of who they are... you just don't get it. And of course, there are exceptions. The friends who show up and make the effort to understand, even when they don’t fully get it. Those people are rare, and when we have one, we don’t let them go. So if you're one of them, thank you. Truly. And to all the parents living this life day in and day out...
