Maybe the most important word swap ⤵️ 🚫 Instead of: "I don't agree with that decision." ✅ Try: "I would like to formally disagree and request that the school include their decision in the Prior Written Notice (PWN)." But what the heck does that even mean?? Having the school include your disagreement in the PWN holds them accountable and creates a paper trail... If you formally disagree with something like a lack of an accommodation or service, their placement decision, etc., they are required to include that and their "why" for the decision in the PWN.
