I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but...⤵️
Too often, people only see what they want to see.
When a child is "acting out," there’s usually a reason—and it’s not about defiance or attention.
Some reasons a child might express their needs through behavior include:
➡️ Sensory overload or unmet sensory needs
➡️ Difficulty understanding or processing language
➡️ Anxiety, frustration, or emotional dysregulation
➡️ Pain, illness, or an unmet medical need
➡️ Feeling unheard, unsupported, or unsafe in their environment
If you’ve ever had to explain this to others, you’re not alone.
But by sharing and educating, we can make the world a more understanding place.🫶
