Let’s talk high-masking autism ⤵️ Identifying and diagnosing children who fall in this category can be so tricky, and for good reason! If a child is high-performing at school or is a quiet & reserved student, it is easy for them to fly under the radar. But what we see at home might look totally different. As an adult who didn't identify my own signs of autism until much later on in life, I see a lot of this in myself. As parents, we have the opportunity to spot these things early and help our kids navigate them... There can be so much power in knowing the "why" behind why we feel or act a certain way.
