I belong to a nation of hardworking people who fought for their freedom and will do whatever it takes to protect it. Freedom is hard-earned—I wasn’t old enough to witness its struggle firsthand, but I now see how difficult it is to maintain. This past week, the esteemed Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery plastikcerrahidernegi held its Winter Symposium, where I had the honor of moderating a talk with Prof. Dr. Koray Coşkunfırat prof.dr.koraycoskunfirat and presenting my own lecture on the crucial role of ptosis correction in facial rejuvenation surgery. Normally, these gatherings are a source of inspiration—a chance to exchange knowledge and push our field forward. But this time, the feeling was bittersweet. Yet, we did what we do best: we worked passionately, with unwavering dedication to science, refusing to compromise. I would like to thank the board and the organizing committee for honoring me with this opportunity. Wishing the best for my country....
