Meat-eating animals don’t die from heart disease. Humans do.
Dogs, cats, lions, and other true carnivores can eat saturated fat and cholesterol all day without clogging their arteries. Why? Their physiology is designed for it. Different bile acids, different lipoprotein handling, different cholesterol metabolism.
Humans are not built that way.
We are frugivore primates who synthesise our own cholesterol endogenously. When you add dietary cholesterol and saturated fat on top of that, you overwhelm the system. LDL particles linger, oxidise, embed in arterial walls, and over time form atherosclerotic plaque. That’s a species mismatch.
Heart disease isn’t a mystery. It’s the number one killer of humans precisely because we keep eating like apex carnivores in bodies designed for sugar-based fuel and low lipid traffic.
Stop comparing human health to lions. Start eating for human physiology.
