In 2005 my 1st year being signed to reebok reebokeurope I set up the structure for the basquiatofficial I was in LA , on a conference call with head of lifestyle for Reebok and head of lifestyle marketing.. in the meeting it was floated by that there maybe a chance to do a deal with the Basquiat estate .. I remember it like it was yesterday I nearly fell outa my chair... and said " wait ....say that again" and I flipped out and said "do it let's do a deal, today" I mean I went to art school so this was a huge deal for me...they wanted to sign the estate for 2 year deal I pushed for a better deal for the estate 4 years with automatic renewal if all parties were happy.
