You’re not there to put on a “perfect show”. You’re there to connect. But I know, I know, with all the noise online, it’s easy to think you need all the right words in exactly the right order, while jumping on one foot, patting your head to get into CRNA school. But the reality is, by the time you get the interview, professors are asking:   Can I trust this person in the OR?   That trust doesn’t come from sounding rehearsed. It comes from how you carry yourself when things don’t go exactly as planned. It’s in the way you pause before answering. The way you admit when you don’t know—but commit to finding out. The way you speak from your experience, not what you think they want to hear.   Of course, let your preparation show. Let them meet you. That’s the part they’ll remember. A smile, an (appropriate) joke, a sense of human-ness, goes a LONG way.
