When you take Advil Liqui-Gels, you’re not just swallowing ibuprofen — you’re taking it in a very different chemical state than a solid tablet. The key difference is molarity, which is the concentration of ibuprofen molecules per unit volume before your body even gets involved. In a traditional tablet, ibuprofen exists as a compressed crystalline solid. Nothing happens until the tablet disintegrates and the drug dissolves in gastric fluid.
