Most gearboxes rely on direct mechanical contactāteeth meshing, surfaces rubbing, energy lost as heat, noise, and wear.
This system flips that idea entirely.
Magnetically assisted (or magnetic) gears transmit torque using magnetic fields instead of physical contact. The input and output shafts are coupled through precisely arranged permanent magnets. As one rotor spins, its changing magnetic field induces motion in the otherāno teeth, no frictional contact.
