Saudi-Egyptian venture capital firm EDAFA has officially announced a $10 million deployment strategy for 2026, marking a 25% increase in capital allocation compared to the previous year. Speaking at the recent GITEX Egypt event, CEO Essam Aly Mostafa highlighted that while the firm had initially planned a larger $13 million spend over the last 18 months, they opted for a disciplined, selective approach—successfully backing over 20 startups with approximately $8 million. This new $10 million commitment reinforces Egypt’s position as a cornerstone of EDAFA’s regional investment thesis, driven by the country's deep talent pool and massive consumer market.
