The call for pitchers for BlueInvest Africa 2026 is officially open, inviting the continent’s most innovative startups and SMEs to showcase their solutions in Cape Town this November. Organised by the European Union in partnership with the Government of South Africa, this flagship forum aims to bridge the investment gap in the blue economy by connecting 30 selected entrepreneurs with a global network of ocean-impact investors.
Since its 2022 inception, the program has supported over 80 startups across sectors like sustainable aquaculture, marine renewable energy, and blue biotechnology. Following the success of the 2025 edition in Togo, where STEP Tunisia claimed the Grand Prize, the 2026 summit focuses on scaling "Blue Tech" that balances economic growth with marine conservation.
