The Gulf's retail-tech sector has officially entered its "Intelligent Automation" phase with the landmark funding of Rewaa. On December 31, 2025, the Saudi-based cloud accounting and point-of-sale (POS) platform closed a $45 million Series B round, positioning it as one of the largest early-2026 milestones for Middle Eastern startups. Led by Wa’ed Ventures (the venture capital arm of Saudi Aramco), Idrisi Ventures, and Unity Partners, the round reflects a massive institutional bet on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
