In a move to bridge the gap between traditional schooling and the modern economy, Cairo-based edtech startup Business For Teens has officially closed a six-figure pre-seed funding round. Announced on January 5, 2026, the round was led by renowned sales and training expert Salah Abou Elmagd, alongside a consortium of strategic angel investors. Founded in 2024 by Nadeem Barakat, the platform focuses on teaching entrepreneurship and financial literacy to students aged 10–16. By moving beyond "lemonade stand" basics, the startup uses a simulation-based curriculum built on 12 years of business development experience to transform teenagers into active economic participants.
The new capital is earmarked for an aggressive 2026 expansion strategy across Egypt and the GCC. Since its launch, Business For Teens has already partnered with over 10 schools in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, impacting 600+ students through hands-on projects and public bazaars where teens sell real products to live audiences....
