The 5th edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) officially commenced today, January 13, 2026, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. Under the central theme "Dawn of a Global Cause," the three-day summit (Jan 13–15) has placed a massive spotlight on Saudi Arabia’s Jazan region, which is now confirmed to hold over SAR 127 billion ($34 billion) in untapped mineral resources. Spanning 11 integrated mining complexes, the Jazan corridor contains critical deposits of industrial and base metals essential for the global energy transition. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef opened the summit by emphasizing that Jazan’s coastal access makes it a strategic "super-hub" for the Africa-West Asia mineral corridor.
