In a landmark move for the region’s technology sector, Lenovo has officially appointed Tareq Alangari as Senior Vice President and President of its Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) business, effective January 5, 2026. Alangari, a seasoned executive and former CEO of e& enterprise Saudi Arabia, becomes one of the first Saudi leaders to spearhead a global tech giant's operations across more than 50 countries. Based in Riyadh’s iconic Al Majdoul Tower, Alangari will oversee Lenovo’s "Hybrid AI" strategy, which integrates cloud-based intelligence with on-device and edge infrastructure to serve a region currently witnessing a 37% surge in data center spending.
