The power of Shhhh 🤫
The Vatican is a long stretch of corridors filled with galleries and frescoes. I didn’t expect much, but I really wanted to see Michelangelo’s work.
In the Sistine Chapel, it’s not allowed to take photos or even stop — you have to keep walking (a bit of a disappointment). But because of the number of people and everyone talking, it was quite noisy.
And then came the SHHHHH.
After the guard shushed, everyone fell silent — not a single voice could be heard. It lasted for a few minutes, and then people started talking again. The guard shushed once more, and again, silence.
How universal it is that people from all walks of life hear shhh and instantly understand that they need to stop talking.
