I’ve got one more story to tell… #storiesofrome We came to this restaurant for dinner and got a table. The waiter came over with the menus and decided to chit-chat — as they do. “Where are you guys from?” he asked. I always hate that question, but fine — “From here and there… and from Ukraine,” I said. Suddenly, his expression changed. He said, “My ex-girlfriend was from Ukraine. She was so beautiful. The best girl I’ve ever had…” And then he just stood at the corner of the restaurant, quietly wiping his tears. 💔 He never came back to our table. 🙁😔 Moral of the story: don’t ask awkward questions.
