FOMO, anyone?
Burnout doesn’t hit like a storm — it settles in gently.
While I was busy doing what many of us do: trying to do it all. Work. Studies. Kids. Social life — theirs, mine, ours. Smiling. Showing up. Staying up late, waking up early.
Until I realized — I’d become a full-time function, not a person.
And oddly, the people around me? They were choosing themselves!
Their time. Their needs. Their space.
Meanwhile, I kept choosing them too — without choosing me.
That was the wake-up call.
FOMO had me chasing something just beyond reach —
the “almost there” feeling that said:
do a bit more, say yes again, then you’ll finally feel fulfilled.
Classic carrot-and-donkey trick.
Now?
I set intention to live by JOMO — the joy of missing out.
Peace first. Then everything else.
You can’t make everyone happy.
The world will not end if you allow yourself to be the main character in your story.
