i am rediscovering my passion for this practice that had quite frankly turned into a job for me.
before and during my pregnancy, i was teaching 4-6 classes a day, working 7 days a week to make a decent living, and hardly had time for the actual practice.
as an entrepreneur, i was bogged down by the day to day and burnt out in this saturated market that honestly - doesn’t offer much in return.
there’s little respect for our time and energy, almost zero consistency cuz life 🤷🏽♀️, and lots of turnover, especially in a market like mumbai that’s very trend driven. folks just move on to the next cool thing and that’s ok - no shade to those who are wanderers and enjoy nice aesthetics, but as a teacher who prides herself on teaching in a way that is authentic while staying true to the roots of yoga, this can be a disheartening pill to swallow.
