Clementina Rind was a pioneer in early American journalism. After the death of her husband, William Rind, she took over The Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg, becoming one of the only female publishers in the colony. Through her work, she helped shaped public opinion during a consequential time in American history. She played a huge role in shaping public opinion in colonial Virginia during the time prior to the American Revolution.
