Presence. Confidence & poise. Don't get me wrong, it takes a lot of time and repetition to build presence. But do you have it? If you don't, do not be confused when you do not make the top team at any given program. At the end of the day, numbers do matter a lot, especially when you are trying to level up (make a better team, go from select to elite, upper gold to platinum, etc) Remember, to win this game, you have to put the puck in the back of the net (or at least help). You can look really good skating around cones but struggle to produce. Production is key. If you aren't producing, maybe re-evaluate your expectations. Go where you can produce.
