1. You’ll begin to feel confident again. At first you won’t want to call it “confident” you’ll just notice that you feel good. You’ll feel like a fog that you don’t even know that you were in has suddenly lifted and you can feel the sun again. You speak up when you used to stay quiet, you say yes to what you used to say no to. This isn’t a new you, it’s a return to the “you” you’ve always been. 2. As you move out of the fog, those who are still in will tell you that you’ve changed for the worse. They’ll say you’ve become self-absorbed, cocky, or conceited. They’ll say everyone is embarrassed by you and people have been talking behind your back. They’ll say everyone is “worried about you.” You don’t have to cut them out—this is a test to see if you trust your voice more than theirs. Keep going. 3.
