A second generation Juddmonte US home-bred, Laurel River is the fourth Juddmonte horse to have been crowned Longines World’s Best Racehorse following in the footsteps of Frankel (2011 and 2012), Arrogate (2016 and 2017), and Enable (co-winner with Crystal Ocean and Waldgeist for 2019). Laurel River has been trained by bhupat_seemar_racing_ since October 2023 having previously been campaigned in North America.
