A different side of F.P. Journe.
The Octa Sport Indy 500 was introduced in 2012 as a limited series of just 99 pieces, created to commemorate French racing driver Jean Alesi’s participation in the Indianapolis 500. Housed in blackened aluminum, it marked a deliberate departure from traditional haute horlogerie materials, prioritizing lightness, durability and performance without compromising mechanical integrity.
Powered by the caliber 1300.3, the watch retains the core Octa architecture — 120-hour power reserve, large date, and day/night indication — while translating it into a distinctly modern, sport-driven context. Produced over a brief period from 2012 to 2013, and individually numbered from 501 to 599, the Indy 500 stands as one of Journe’s more unusual limited editions: a racing tribute, executed with the same technical rigor that defines the brand.
