Trans people deserve more than visibility. We deserve life. 🏳️⚧️
On this Transgender Day of Visibility, we are reminded that visibility was never meant to be the finish line in the work towards trans liberation.
Everyday, trans people are told to be seen, but are not always protected. We are celebrated, but lack support in public. We are a convenient story for the media, but left fighting to survive.
The truth is: we all deserve to live fully, safely, and without fear of violence, shame, erasure, or abandonment.
Trans liberation is 365 days a year. It is beyond visibility. It is advocating for policies that support trans people. It is caring for trans people loudly, even when we aren’t in the room. It is protecting us fiercely. It is showing up in the little moments that aren’t always visible.
Trans lives are not a debate. They are not a headline or a fleeting moment. They are everything.
We are and will continue to be here.🧡
