It’s so rewarding to invite young alumni back each year for a panel—seeing how they have grown into their adult lives and careers. On Wednesday, we welcomed TRE LONG ’15 – First Officer, 737, American Airlines; GRANT LEWIS ‘21 – English Teacher, Tuscaloosa Co. Schools ; QUAMAURI HARDY ’17 – Real Estate Investor; and 1LT DAWN EVANS ’23, TNARNG – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The Corps asked great questions, and topics ranged from ethics in the workplace to taking risks that paid off. The whole panel encouraged current cadets to appreciate the present at Marion instead of focusing on their exit timeline and next steps. A few of their best nuggets of advice: LONG – Be confident in yourself. Never give up. HARDY – Be respectful and deal with people where they are. LEWIS – Remember that your struggles are temporary. EVANS – It’s OK to ask for help. You can’t do everything yourself. #MarionMade
