When the bobcat kittens — a brother and sister — were found near a rest stop along the side of a road in Condon, Oregon, on May 19, 2025, they each weighed less than a pound. At just a month old, they were showing signs of dehydration, hypothermia, external parasites and diarrhea. Officials believed their mother had been killed by a vehicle. Today, the young bobcats are back in the wild, beginning a new chapter of independence and fending for themselves. On March 20, 2026, after about 10 months of rehabilitation, the cats were successfully released in a remote area near Dayville.
