This was not supposed to be …. I got up super early this morning to film a time lapse of the sunrise emerging over this view, as it was the morning the clocks went forward. I thought it would be rather beautiful! The time lapse filmed perfectly, but for some reason, it didn’t download to my phone and disappeared. C’est la vie. So I filmed this all again just now and thought I would focus in on the details instead, as you can’t really see them on the big wide view yet. The lovely boyfriend gave me the Cornus Kousa China Girl for my last birthday - at my request, because it is the most stunning tree with huge white bract flowers in the spring, bright red lychee-like fruits in the summer, and then red and orange leaves in the autumn. It is right opposite my bed, so will be a stunning view. I’m so excited! You know you’re getting old when you start giving each other trees for presents 😅 Have any of you given any unusual presents?!
