My First iOS App MVP: Days 13–17. Well… I MESSED UP! 🫠🥹😭 I’m currently deep in some crazy refactoring, but hey, better now than later, right? Turns out the choices I made early on weren’t ideal (to put it gently) for an MVP. So, yeah, I’m removing Firebase and Firestore. While I got them working nicely to support users and their data, they’ve introduced a lot of unnecessary complexity that’s slowing me down... that’s what you want to avoid for any MVP. Looking back, this mistake came from my own mindset as a web developer. Mobile app development is a whole different parallel, and I’m learning that the hard way. Wish I had time to share more of this adventure—learning Swift, diving into iOS infrastructure, and wrapping my head around the philosophy of mobile apps has been wild. But it’s not all bad news!
