This caption is for those who asked various questions regarding my old MacBook Pro and Ubuntu as the main OS on it (see previous post for the laptop specs).
• yes, I did not have to install any additional drivers by myself.
• yes, bluetooth is working nicely.
• yes, I think speed of the OS has increased.
• would I install it again - definitely (despite being concerned for the first time that it might not work).
22.04 was the first version I installed on my MacBook Pro, I have updated to 24.04 and it still runs very well.
This laptop is more than you need to learn basic software development. I have not tried to run emulator for mobile development, but other than that - everything works nicely.
Why do I post about this? Because I would’ve dreamed of having a laptop like this years ago. The age of your machine doesn’t define your skills. It shows your passion for learning and coding❤️
Now, less excuses, please. What’s the next thing you’re going to learn?
