The prom theme for this year is “A Love Letter to the Cinema.” The prom committee announced the theme on its Instagram account today and is currently fundraising for the event, with a song request link and vision boards coming out next week. “The goal is to make it feel like a red carpet if you’re like an old Hollywood actor,” prom committee president and senior Shubra Durgavathi said. After meeting weekly in prom committee sponsor and art teacher Emma Chalk’s room, the committee — consisting of 10 upperclassmen — discussed and decided on the theme when junior Dane Schwartz suggested the idea earlier this year.
