This month is not only the celebration of the ADA, it is also Disability Pride Month and RAMP is celebrating by sharing ways the ADA has touched the lives of our staff. We invite you to share your stories below! #ThanksToTheADA “To me, disability pride means being proud of the body and mind you live in, even on days when it doesn’t treat you the best. It means understanding that disability is just a natural occurrence in life and being disabled is not a bad thing! If I was not disabled, I would not have the same perspective in life and not be the person I am today. As for the ADA, it is just the start and only scratches the surface of the change that needs to take place in our world, which is where my job as an advocate comes in! I get to be the change I want to see!” - Grace Gerrard, RAMP Youth Education Advocate Picture description: Disability Pride Flag and a picture of Grace Gerrard smiling.
