"In our Fast Track program, we teach our students about their rights according to the ADA. It is important for them to know that they are protected from discrimination under this law. It is also empowering for them to know that they can be successful as a Disabled individual in employment, education, and community living, and that Disabled people all across the country are doing the same thing thanks to the ADA!
To me, Disability Pride, means having a deeper understanding of how my disabilities affect my day-to-day life. Recently, I was able to connect with a friend with a similar disability as my own.
