BUCCAL/ INTRA ORAL MASSAGE
It is a very important part of the facial, but also the part that requires the most care and precision. When clients come in with TMJ, there is already inflammation present in the temporomandibular joint. If too much pressure is applied, it will only increase that inflammation.
We must always remember the formula:

Buccal massage should not exceed 15 minutes total, including both the lower and upper areas of the mouth. When you begin, assess which side is more contracted. Divide your time carefully between both sides of the lower jaw and the upper palate.
Spend more time on the more contracted side but never increase pressure. Stay gentle, slow, and precise. It is not about force; it is about technique.
When performed correctly, buccal massage is one of the most effective methods for lifting the face, not only immediately but also long term.
