The Storm Prediction Center is warning that supercell thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes could form this afternoon within a 700-mile corridor across the Midwest. 12 million people in northern Illinois, including Chicago, as well as southern Wisconsin and eastern Iowa are under a Level 3 out of 5 risk of severe storms.
