It's been six years since hall of fame baseball coach Dom Cecere's passing, but his legacy and teachings live on in his former students and players, and the town of Eastchester. The town and school came together to pay tribute to his memory, immortalizing the former coach in another way. On Sunday, Eastchester held a street renaming ceremony for Cecere, where past, present and future Eagles − and even those from neighboring towns − witnessed a portion of Stewart Place that is adjacent to the high school's baseball field become Dom Cecere Way. "The fact that his former players thought that this was something they wanted to do and share is humbling, and it's incredible for the family," Hastings baseball coach Dom Cecere Jr. said of the ceremony for his father.
