Did anyone else feel unprepared for their dog’s first heat? Poppi’s going through hers right now and I feel like this stage isn’t talked about enough. I found blood on our rug and thought my husband had a nose bleed 🙈 I also just learned today that some dogs go through phantom pregnancies during heat as well. While I knew it was coming, I didn’t understand timing. We’re choosing a different approach this time with guidance from our vet, but every dog is different.
