Oregon and 22 other states with Democratic attorneys general announced Friday they are filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration, seeking to stop the president from restricting individuals from voting by mail. The announcement from Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield comes just days after President Donald Trump issued an executive order that would, among other things, bar the U.S. Postal Service from sending mail-in and absentee ballots to people not on a list of eligible voters that the president wants the Department of Homeland Security to compile in conjunction with the Social Security Administration.
